More Information on the Jamie McMahan Workshop

Jamie McMahan is trying to get feedback from interested artists for a workshop this fall, Sep 27-Oct. 1 at the world famous Greenbriar Hotel and Spa in West Virginia.
They have offered reasonable room rates (this will be the high season) for a block of rooms that he has to commit to. At this time, rates are about $225 for a single or double per night. The rate is the same for the hotel rooms and for each bedroom in the cottages (2,3 and 4 bedroom). This is for a limited time only and we must move on it to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

The Workshop tuition rate will be $700 for this initial workshop and he is holding enrollment to 25 students. The schedule: Mon through Friday noon with arrival for a Sunday evening reception. Go to their website. An incredible place!

The date of this one, five-day workshop is September 27 -- October 1. Begins with a Sunday evening reception on Sep 26, and painting schedule: Monday-Thursday; 9:00-12:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm. Friday; 9:00-12:00pm.

One side note: There is an abundance of things to do at the Greenbriar for participating artists' spouses and guests.

there are very reasonable rates for a limited time if he can guarantee a certain number of rooms.
The dates are Sep 27-Oct 1.  (what a beautiful time of year too)

Any accomplished Acrylic painters want to teach??

Sent to me from the Neward Arts Council:
Grumbacher paint is looking to hire accomplished acrylic painters to teach two hours workshops at a major retailer. We have developed a flexible curriculum in acrylics for an artist to use or to adapt it to fit the artist's style. Compensation is $100/workshop. We plan to conduct approximately one to four workshops per store per month and the artist will have flexibility in their scheduling. The workshops will be geographically located all over the U.S and Canada. All teaching materials will be provided to the artist at no cost

If you or anyone you know may be interested, please email Jen Kopec at jkopec@chartpak.com with examples of your work in acrylics, along with a resume and contact information. (Chartpak is a manufacturer of fine art supplies. Grumbacher, Koh-I-Noor, Higgins ink, and Clearprint are some of our brands.)

Thank you in advance for any help you might offer,

Best regards,

Jennifer Kopec
